How many people get sick with dengue?
About 1 in 4 people infected by the dengue virus will experience symptoms2 but even those who don’t get sick can spread dengue to other people via mosquito bites.3
Symptoms can either be mild or severe;2 about 1 in 20 people who get sick with dengue will develop severe dengue.2
